Privacy Policy
Effective September 9, 2026
Restoral is an AI front office for service businesses: it answers and places phone calls, responds to website chat and text messages, schedules appointments, and organizes leads and customers in a built-in CRM. Some of our customers are agencies who offer Restoral to their own clients under their own brand; this policy covers the platform in all of those settings.
This policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and the choices you have. "We," "us," and "Restoral" refer to the operator of this platform. "Customer" means a business with a Restoral account. If you spoke or messaged with a business that uses Restoral, the section If you talked to a business that uses Restoral is written for you.
1. Information we handle
Account information
When a customer creates an account we collect the basics needed to run it: name, business name, email address, sign-in credentials, and billing details.
Information customers bring into the platform
Customers use Restoral to communicate with their own contacts. On their behalf we process:
- Contact and lead records — names, phone numbers, email addresses, locations, project details, and any other fields a customer uploads (for example from a spreadsheet or a connected lead source).
- Call recordings, transcripts, and summaries — conversations with the AI assistant are recorded and transcribed so the service can qualify leads, book appointments, produce summaries, and follow up. This is core to how the product works.
- Messages — website chat and SMS conversations handled by the platform.
- Scheduling data — appointment requests and, where a customer connects a calendar, availability and event details (see the Google section below).
- Usage and device data — log data, cookies for sign-in sessions, and diagnostics that keep the service reliable and secure.
2. Data from Google (connected calendars)
A customer can connect a Google Calendar so the AI assistant offers real openings and books appointments directly. When they do, Restoral accesses only:
- Free/busy information on the connected calendar — used solely to offer open time slots;
- The ability to create events on that calendar — used solely to book the appointments a caller or customer asks for, with Google sending the invitation;
- The account's email address — shown in settings so the customer can see which account is connected.
Restoral does not read the contents of existing events, and does not access Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. Google sign-in tokens are stored encrypted and are never shown in the browser. A customer can disconnect at any time from Calendar settings inside Restoral, or from their Google account permissions; either revokes our access.
Restoral's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not allow humans to read it except with consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or where it is aggregated and anonymized.
3. How we use information
- To provide the service: answering and placing calls, messaging, qualifying leads, booking appointments, keeping the CRM current, and sending customers notifications about their own leads and appointments.
- To operate, secure, support, and improve the platform.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer content to train generalized AI models. AI processing (such as transcription and conversation) is performed by vetted service providers under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing the service to us.
4. When information is shared
- Service providers that help us run the platform — cloud hosting and storage, telephony carriers, speech and AI model providers, and email/SMS delivery — each bound to use the data only to provide their service.
- At a customer's direction — for example when a customer connects their own calendar, CRM, or lead sources.
- Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Restoral, our customers, or the public.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with this policy continuing to apply.
5. Call recording and communications compliance
Conversations with the AI assistant are recorded and transcribed to deliver the service. Customers are responsible for using Restoral lawfully with their own contacts — including providing any notice of recording and obtaining any consent to call or text that their jurisdictions require. The platform includes tools to help, such as per-customer do-not-call suppression and calling-hours windows, and we honor opt-outs recorded in the platform.
6. Retention
We keep account information while an account is active. Customer content (contacts, recordings, transcripts, messages) is retained while the customer's account remains active or as the customer configures, and is deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period after account termination or a verified deletion request, except where the law requires longer retention.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive credentials — including calendar sign-in tokens and connected-service keys — are encrypted at rest and never sent to the browser. Access to production systems is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage strong, unique account passwords.
8. If you talked to a business that uses Restoral
When you call, text, or chat with a business that uses Restoral, that business decides how the conversation data is used; Restoral processes it on their behalf. To access, correct, or delete your information, or to opt out of further contact, the fastest path is contacting that business directly — telling their assistant "don't call me again" also records an opt-out. You can reach us at the address below and we will route your request to the right customer.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to some processing. Email us at the address below and we will respond as the law requires. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.
10. Children
Restoral is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify customers in the product or by email.
